My favourite chocolate oatmeal cookies

Today morning I wanted to have a sweet breakfast but we didn’t have anything at home so I decided to bake my favorite cookies. These are full of chocolate, when eaten warm they are chewy when eaten cold they are cripsy (I love both way) and they are ready in less than 30 minutes! You can get approximately 20 cookies from the ingredients listed below.
In Hungary we use dekagrams (dkg) as a measurement unit but i converted it to ounces too, just in case 🙂

7,5 dkg (2,5 oz) oats

7,5 dkg (2,5 oz) flour

15 dkg (5 oz) sugar

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

2 spoon unsweetened cocoa powder

5 dkg (1,7 oz) dark chocolate

10 dkg (3,5 oz) butter

1 egg

1. Mix all the dry ingredients (oatmeal, flour, sugar, baking soda, cocoa powder) together
2. Cut the dark chocolate into small pieces (or use ready chocolate chip) and stir into the dry ingredients
3. Add butter and egg, mix well (I usually melt the butter so it is easier and faster)
4. Preheat oven to 175 Celsius/347 Fahrenheit
5. Shape balls or just drop one small spoon onto baking sheet and bake for 8 minutes (don’t worry if they don’t look ready after 8 minutes, they are!)

6. Let them cool down (till they are warm it is hard to move them cause they break really easy)
7. Enjoy your cookies
